Maggie Oakley Stanfill Shouse

April 29, 1938 — July 12, 2019

Mrs. Maggie Oakley Stanfill Shouse, age 81, wife of Ray Shouse, and a resident of Columbia, formerly of Santa Fe, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Tommy Fox officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 9-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 29, 1938 in Maury County, Maggie was the daughter of the late Joe Leland Stanfill and the late Jessie Hill Stanfill. In addition to her work as a homemaker, Maggie was a custodian for several years at Santa Fe School and retired from GE/Fedders after over twenty years. She enjoyed embroidering, reading, and she always had a garden. Maggie was a member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Ray, of nearly sixty-three years, she is survived by her sons: Jerry (Colette) Shouse of Santa Fe, Billy Shouse of Santa Fe; daughter: Judy (Jim) Neale of Lynnville; brother: Ray (Cheryl) Stanfill of Moorseville; sister: Charlotte McCoy of Columbia; grandchildren: Jeri Renee Shouse, Michael Ashley Shouse, Dakota Cheyenne Shouse, Patrick Colton Shouse, Lisa (Timothy Wayne) Owens, Sam Neale, Ben Neale, Caleb Neale; and great grandchildren: Dylan Owens, Gage Hable, Dustin Hable, Kastyn Rae, Eli, Gracie, Joshua, Corban, Abigail, and Elizabeth Neale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Joe Stanfill, Hobert Stanfill, Wayne Stanfill, Winford Stanfill, Donald Stanfill, and Addie Crotts.
