Margaret Ann Gibson Adams

Margaret Ann Gibson Adams, age 84, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Anthony Atkisson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 13, 1938, in Maury County, Margaret was the daughter of the late Carl Gibson and the late Virgie Mae Henson Gibson. She loved babysitting and giving nicknames to her special babies. She enjoyed dancing, crafts, cooking, and listening to country music. She was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Tanya (Jesse) Dotson, Dawn (Marty) Clark, Penelope “Penny” Rena Odom, Hope (Earl) Beadle, grandchildren, Megan (Joshua) Lancaster, Amber (Laurie) Clark, Katelyn Clark, Ashley (Josh) Bickford, Christie (Austin) Brown, Joshua Claiborne, Jessica (Mike) Sarlo, Nicholas Beadle, Amanda (Mitch) Williamson, and great grandchildren, Kiptyn and Kislynn Lancaster, Presleigh and Garrett Brown, Jamison and Lillie Bickford, Cassidy Claiborne, Colton, Alana, McKenzie, Gavin, and Dalton Sarlo, and Cooper, Colton, and Colbie Williamson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmore Adams, Jr., sons in law, Chuck Odom and Marty Clark, grandson, Robbie Odom, brothers, Carl Gibson, Hubert Gibson, and sisters, Mary Louise Batts, Ruby Mae Green.

Pallbearers will be Christie Odom Brown, Megan Lancaster, Amber Clark, Katelyn Clark, Ashley Bickford, and Joshua Claiborne. Honorary pallbearers will include, Jerry Gibson, Jason & Lea Bass, Darnell Horton, Felicia Gibson, Sherry Dale, Alicia & Dakota Travis, great grandchildren, Dr. Faulks and staff, the staff of Caris Hospice, Woodland Mobile Village staff, and all the babies she kept over the years.
