Mt. Pleasant

Marilyn Louise Frierson, age 62, beloved wife of Christopher D. Frierson, First Lady of the Glass Street Church of Christ, and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her close family.

A visitation with the family will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM with a graveside service  immediately following at Maury Memorial Gardens with Dr. Harvey Jackson officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 1, 1962, here in Tennessee, Marilyn was the daughter of the late George Davis Sr. and the late Helen Louise Richardson. On June 21, 1986 she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Chris Frierson. Together they built and shared a beautifully fulfilled union of love, honor, and trust with many cherished memories. Marilyn accepted Christ at an early age being baptized at the Burns Springs Church of Christ. She spent many years of her life selflessly working for God’s Kingdom, guiding people to Christ, sharing her love for the Lord, and supporting her husband as he ministered several churches. She was a proud graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Columbia State Community College, and Austin Peay University.

Marilyn, a woman of many talents both hidden and expressed, loved to spend time with her family, travel to the beach, bake, crochet, and was a lover of yard sales and thrift stores. She was often found offering a listening ear, encouragement, or simply sharing a laugh accompanied by her lighthearted sense of humor.

Above all, Marilyn was a committed Christian, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose sweetness, love, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. The legacy she leaves behind is one of strength, perseverance, kindness, and compassion.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mother and father in law, and first born child, a son born sleeping whom she looked forward to meeting in heaven. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Chrissionna Louise (Dustin) Emaminejad of Columbia, grandchildren Ysabelle Louise and Jrue Christopher, sisters, Georgia (Eric) Arms, Diana Davis, and Jacqueline Davis, brothers Chris (LaToya) Davis and George Davis Jr., special Sister in Law, Brenda Gail Frierson, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
