Marilyn Jean Campbell Victory, age 74, wife of Dallas Victory, and a resident of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Jay Victory officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Lone Oak Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on November 16, 1949, in Charleston, West Virginia, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Norvel and Emogene Long Campbell. On November 6, 1978, she married Dallas Victory, with whom she shared a life full of love, hard work, and dedication. Marilyn was the heart and soul of her family, known for balancing her work life while raising four children and working on the family farm. She was an exceptional cook and had a passion for gardening, canning, and tending to her flowers. Her love for animals, especially dogs and horses, was evident throughout her life. A very creative, and artistic person, Marilyn enjoyed drawing, writing poetry, quilting, and sewing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jay (Bronie) Victory of Picayune, MS, Richard (Sandra) Fleck of Cornersville, TN, Joey Victory of Stiversville, TN, Alana Colvett of Mt. Pleasant, TN, sisters, Judy Herbert, Marsha (Mervin) Hall, Lisa Snuffer, grandchildren, Marlana (Ashton) Matheny, George (Lauren) Victory, Ryan (Taylor) Victory, Emily Victory, Weston Colvett, Max Colvett, Wyatt Victory, Trey Colvett, Elijah Victory, Jeffery Anderson, and Tonya Anderson, great grandchildren, Haleigh, Hayden, Ellis, Idi, Rowan, Isla, brothers and sisters in law, Charlene Victory, John (Theresa) Victory, Dorothy Jett, and Reba Campbell, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Campbell, Steve Campbell, Jerry Campbell, Bobby Campbell, sister, Virginia Miller, and brother in law, Harvey Victory.
Those serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, George Victory, Weston Colvett, Max Colvett, Trey Colvett, Ashton Matheny, Elijah Victory, and Wyatt Victory. Honorary pallbearers will be the doctors, nurses, and staff at Caris Hospice, the doctors, nurses, and staff on the 3rd floor at Maury Regional Medical Center, and Jewel Wiles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
