Marilyn Rose Whitehead, age 72, a resident of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Williamson Medical Center.
Born on March 18, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Dale and Mary Snyder. She dedicated 22 years as a payroll manager at Batten & Shaw Construction in Nashville before retiring in May 2022.
Marilyn had a deep appreciation for flowers and a passion for collecting porcelain dolls. She previously enjoyed riding motorcycles and found great joy in traveling, playing the organ, cooking, and hitting the trails in her RZR—where her sense of humor always shined. More recently, she cherished time spent in her beloved "she shed." Known for her curiosity, she loved to talk, ask questions, and engage with those around her. Above all, Marilyn adored her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Whitehead of Lewisburg, TN, sons, Paul Remagen of Culleoka, TN, James Remagen of Colorado, sister, Betty Bock of Missouri, grandchildren, Haley Remagen, Joseph Ellich, Tristan Remagen, and great grandchildren, Raelynn Webb and Rylee Webb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Arthur Howard Bishop.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 12:00 - 3:00 PM at her home, 3968 River Glenn Drive, Lewisburg, TN 37091. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
