Martha Raye Beddingfield

Martha Raye Beddingfield, age 75, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, formerly of Chapel Hill, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born on June 20, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, Martha was the daughter of the late George R. Snider and the late Willie Janet Williams Snider. She devoted nineteen years to her career as a health administrator in medical records at Maury Regional Medical Center, followed by fifteen years at Bank of America before retiring. Martha was an avid reader who took pleasure in watching movies and playing card games, always presenting herself with impeccable style.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Charles) Jones, grandchildren, Haleigh Amos (fiancé, Alex Velbis), Jacob (Amanda) Jones, Dylan Jones, great grandchildren, Parker Kate Jones and Tatum Claire Jones, and cousin, Barbara Ann (Ken) Baltzer.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care for Martha over the past couple years.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia.
