Mary Howard Shelton

Mary Howard Frierson Shelton, 68, wife of Dale Shelton and a resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at her residence from Covid.

Born in Clarksville, TN on May 22, 1953, she was the adopted daughter of the late John Dawson Frierson, Jr. and the late Dorothy Haston Frierson and biological daughter of Norris and Mona Greene Bumpas. She was preceded in death by her biological parents and brothers: Edward Llewellyn and Richard Bumpas.

In addition to her husband, Dale, Mary Howard is survived by her son and daughter in law, Michael and Sara Musgrove; three grandchildren, Mason Musgrove, Patrick Musgrove, and Benjamin Musgrove.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, October 30th at 5:00 pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points offering words of comfort. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you make donations to your favorite charity. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of services.
