Mauro Cervantes

Mauro Blas Cervantes Mendez, age 65, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 29, 1958, in Mexico, Mauro was the son of the late Guadalupe Leal Cervantes and the late Guadalupe Rodriguez Mendez. He dedicated his entire career working as a painter. He enjoyed gardening and was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his sons, Marcos Cervantes, Ismael Cervantes, Salvador Cervantes, daughters, Elisa Cervantes, Norma Cervantes, Sherry Cervantes, Stephanie Cervantes, brothers, Santiago Cervantes, Raul Cervantes, Salvador Cervantes, Lupe Cervantes, Sergio Cervantes, Beto Cervantes, sisters, Juana Cervantes, Rosa Cervantes, Patricia Cervantes, Josefina Cervantes, Cirila Cervantes, Florence Cervantes, and many grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Patricia Cervantes.
