Born on February 8, 1973 in Maury County, Meredith was the daughter of Jimmy & Sue Walker Campbell. She was a 1991 graduate of Columbia Central High School where she was an excellent athlete and played several sports, including softball, volleyball and basketball. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from MTSU. She married Terrence Bybee on December 23, 1995 and together they had two children, Campbell and MacKenzie.

Meredith worked as a real estate agent for Crye-Leike and was a member of the Gen 3 Crye-Leike team and previously worked for Campbell Enterprises and Middle Tennessee Law Group. She was a participant of Leadership Maury 2020 and served on the Board of Directors at Bethel University.

An extremely devout Christian, Meredith served as a Christian Education Director for thirty years and Vacation Bible School coordinator for twenty-five years, most recently at Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a devoted and active member. She served as the teacher of the adult bible study class and even preached several sermons. Meredith was also a long time elder of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and  served on the Board of Directors at Crystal Springs Church Camp.

She coached volleyball for several years at Zion Middle School and Alliance South travel volleyball team. She enjoyed reading and shopping and expressed her pristine sense of style through her decorating abilities. She was very active in her children’s lives, and you could often find her cheering on her son at his soccer games or listening to her daughter perform with the  Bethel Renaissance Choir.
