Merlene Pollard West of Franklin, Tennessee

June 21, 1935 - January 25, 2020

Mrs. Merlene Pollard West, age 84, wife of Stanley West, and a resident of Franklin, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Grace Healthcare.

The family will celebrate her life with a graveside service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 21, 1935 in Borden Springs, Alabama, Merlene was the daughter of the late Samuel Hall Pollard and the late Rosa Lee Sentell Pollard. She was previously the owner and operator of a fabric store and the Sweet Gum Tree both in Piedmont, Alabama. She was also formerly a member of the Piedmont Garden Club and the Piedmont Housing Authority and on the Piedmont Board of Education.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, David (Anna) West of Brentwood; and grandchildren: Sam West, Graham West, and Luke West.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Pollard McClendon and niece, Daphne Davis.
