Mike Greenfield

Michael Dean "Mike" Greenfield, 68 of Columbia, passed away February 24, 2025 in Savannah, TN.

A Columbia native, Mike was the son of the late Orsen Dean Greenfield and Bonnie Ruth Johnson Greenfield. He earned a degree in electronics from Columbia State Community College and worked as an accomplished plumber and electrician.

Mike loved fishing and boating, having acquired a new sailing boat just prior to his passing. He enjoyed being outside in nature as well. Of all his qualities, Mike will be best remembered as a good friend to those he loved.

He is survived by his sister: Debra (Edward) Holland of Florence, AL; brother: David (Angela) Greenfield of Madison, AL; nieces: Diana “Cissy” (Mark) Hurt of Columbia, and Dana (Donovan Shia) Sisk of Corpus Christi, TX, and step-mother: Yamuna Greenfield of Rogersville, AL. He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Andrew (Katie) Pangle and Hannah (Peyton Vandiver) Pangle of Lawrenceburg, TN; Jacob (Briana) Pangle of San Diego, CA and DeeAnna (Keith) Heavilin of Corpus Christi, TX. Additional survivors include the next generation of nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

Mike's family will celebrate his life with private services, and encourage his friends to spend a day on the lake, or river, in honor of him.
