Michael Koshorek

Mr. Michael Koshorek, age 75, a resident of Loretto, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his residence.

The family will celebrate his life with a service in the spring at the American Legion in Loretto. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 4, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, Michael was the son of the late Beverly & Dutch Hayes and the late Alexander Koshorek. He served in the United States Navy for over twenty years before retiring. He previously worked as a police officer in Alabama and most recently as a security officer for nearly ten years at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg. He was a member of the American Legion Post 146 and the VFW #1648.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Stella Metzger Koshorek; daughters: Cathy (Gus) Farris of Loretto, TN, Charlotte (Tim) Kersteins of Tullahoma, TN; sister, Sandy (Terry) Thomas of California; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
