Michael Nelson "Preacher" Thomson, Sr.

Michael Nelson “Preacher” Thomson, Sr., age 71, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024.  

Born on March 23, 1953, in Maury County, Preacher was the son of the late Marvin Thomson and the late Johnnie Chatman Thomson. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid golfer. He also loved taking leisurely car rides, finding joy in the simple pleasures of exploring the roads. Above all, Preacher treasured the moments he spent with his grandchildren

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Wallace, son, Michael Thomson, Jr., stepsons, Rusty Stewart, Joey (Kristian) Stewart, brothers, Tony Thomson, Randolph (Shirley) Thomson, David (Jean) Thomson, and grandchildren, Kara Wallace, Gracie Stewart, and Megan Stewart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Norma Faye Sterner, Carolyn Thomson, Marvin Ray Thomson, Jr., and Harold Wayne Thomson. 

There will be no public service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
