Michael Wesley Holder, Jr.

Michael Wesley Holder, Jr., age 25, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with David Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 31, 1993 in Columbia, Wesley was the son of Michael Wesley Holder, Sr. and Jennifer Melissa (John Wade Matheny, Jr.) Johnson. He was a 2012 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He enjoyed skateboarding, golfing and playing guitar. He was a kindhearted person who never met a stranger. Wesley’s greatest blessing and light of his life was his daughter, Kaylee Lynn Holder.

In addition to his parents and daughter, he is survived by his brothers: Brett Lain Holder of Nashville, Preston Cole Holder of Columbia; grandparents: Sylvia Gail Johnson of Columbia, Ricky L. Johnson of Columbia, Ruth Ellen Holder of Columbia; aunts and uncles: Stacy (Blake) Smith of Columbia, Shane (Jessica) Johnson of Columbia; and cousins: Celeigh Smith, Oakley Smith and Kara Stedman.

Pallbearers will be: Cole Holder, Brett Holder, Dustin Lemay, Blake Smith, Shane Johnson, and Destin Nutt.
