Michele Frances Alkire

Michele Frances Alkire, age 46, a resident of Columbia, departed this earth on Monday, April 14, 2025, at her home.

She was born on October 27, 1978, in Kansas City, Kansas, and was the daughter of the late Mike and Debbie King Rivers. She devoted her life to her family and making a home for them.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Jeff Alkire, sons, Shawn (Andrea) Alkire, Jamie (Sydney) Alkire, Nicholas Alkire, and Daniel Alkire, five grandchildren, Shawn Jr., Sophie, Linden, Leilani, and Liliana, sisters, Dawn (John) Arrowood of Mt. Pleasant, Tammie Rivers of Mt. Pleasant, Sandra (Jerome) Butler of Columbia, and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Wilma Nyman, in-laws, Tony Alkire, Shirley Bean, Bobby Bean, aunt, Phyllis Shelton, nephew, Alfred Miles, great nephew, CJ Rosario.
