Mike Davidson

Mr. Michael “Mike” L. Davidson, age 71, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at 6:30 PM at Parkway Baptist Church. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5-7PM and again on Tuesday from 4-6PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born July 7, 1949 in Piqua, Ohio, Mike was the son of the late Herbert Davidson and late Laura Beaver Davidson. He was a 1967 graduate of Miami East High School and a 1971 graduate of Defiance College where he earned his degree in education. Mike previously volunteered at the Defiance Sheriff’s Department and worked thirty-three years for General Motors before retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Lion’s Club and a huge supporter of the Spring Hill High School Raider Backers. Mike was a lifetime hunter, a proud blood donor, and participated in Old Timer’s football until the age of forty. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Mike is survived by his children: Jennifer J. (Tom) Murray of Columbia, TN, Jacqueline J. (Theron) Oliver of Columbia, TN, and John M. (Leslie) Davidson of Thompsons Station, TN and Michelle L. (Shane) Spittler of Columbia, SC; his brother Keith Davidson (Christi) of Old Town, Florida; brother in law, Jerry Estep; and grandchildren Anastasia Oliver, Jasmyn Oliver, Mackenzie Richmond, Henley Davidson, Townsend Davidson, Michael Murray and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Judith K. Davidson on November 21, 2017 and sister Diane Estep.
