Mildred Angus

Mrs. Mildred Long Angus, age 79, wife of James Angus, and a resident of Lynnville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Maranatha Seventh Day Adventist Church, 515 Mooresville Pike, Columbia, TN 38401. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 15, 1943, in Sheffield, Alabama, Mildred was the daughter of the late Joe H. Long and the late Addie Vaughn Long. She attended Maranatha Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as the clerk. She previously worked as a physical therapist technician for Maury Regional Medical Center. Mildred enjoyed fishing and gardening, and above all, she loved her family unconditionally.

She is survived by her husband, James Angus of Lynnville, TN, sons, Reginald Angus of Columbia, TN, Travis Andre (Stephanie) Angus of Lewisburg, TN, James Tremaine (Tara) Angus of Lynnville, TN, Brian Yves (Tina) Angus of Madison, AL, daughter, Juanita (Ricky) Woods of Columbia, TN, Vanessa (Roy C.) Goodman of Columbia, TN, eight grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Angus, brothers, James Long, Joe Long, Fred Long, and sister, Addie Kittrell.

Pallbearers will be Reginald Angus, Travis Andre Angus, James Tremaine Angus, Brian Yves Angus, Ricky Woods, and Gordon Smith.
