Muriel Williams Scroggins

Mrs. Muriel Williams Scroggins, age 41, wife of Toby Scroggins, and a resident of Lynnville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 12, 2019 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Bilyeu officiating. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on September 2, 1977 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, Muriel was the daughter of the late Jerry Williams and the late Judy Cook Williams. She worked at Maury Regional Medical Center since August 3, 1998, most recently as the Nurse Manager of Patient Management. There she was dearly loved over the past twenty years by all the nurses and staff. She and her husband loved traveling across the country on their Harley Davidson motorcycle. She enjoyed working in her flowers at her home, deer hunting and being outdoors, taking in God’s nature. She also enjoyed cooking, and on Thanksgiving she loved doing all the cooking for her family. Muriel was a member of Richland Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Trey Scroggins of Nashville, Jerry Scroggins of Lynnville; sister: Mandy Marsh of Clarksville; and sisters in law: Julie (Jonathan) Litton of Santa Fe and Jennifer (Chad) Manley of Petersburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Williams.
