Nadine Watson

Nadine Watson, age 90, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at her residence.

A funeral service to celebrate Nadine's life will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Polk Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held on Friday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Nadine was born on April 18, 1933, in Maury County, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late Noah Thompson and the late Icie Pearl Hardin Thompson. To know Nadine was to love her, as she possessed a warm and selfless spirit that endeared her to all who crossed her path. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from dancing to caring for her beloved dolls and tending to her flowers. Her home was a welcoming refuge for all, and she was renowned for her sweet tea.

Nadine is survived by her daughters, Janice Jacobs of Columbia, Teresa Scroggins (Dan Krunich) of Hampshire, and an additional daughter, Melissa York. She also leaves behind her sisters, Vada (Ron) Richardson of Columbia and Zada Tomlin of Lewisburg, grandchildren: Carrie Beard, Jason Pruitt, Jeff (Tara) Watson, Bridget Beckum, and Amy Knapp, as well as her great-grandchildren: Harley Beard, Nevaeh Beard LaFevor, Jobie Johnson, Alissaa Pruitt, Desiree Pardue, Austin Whitfield, Dayton Whitfield, Braxton Pruitt, Kayden Pruitt, Haley Watson, Layla Cannady, and Lucas Dugger. Additionally, she is survived by eleven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, William Watson, her daughter Cynthia Pearl Pruitt, and multiple siblings.

Pallbearers will be Carrie Beard, Bridget Beckum, Amy Knapp, Layla Cannady, Haley Watson, and Nevaeh Beard LaFevor.
