Nancy J. Coghlan

Nancy Johnson Coghlan, age 84, wife of Thomas W. Coghlan, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday morning, March 31, 2023, at Magnolia Healthcare & Rehabilitation.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Davis Chackaleckel officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Resurrection in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 8, 1938, in Hickman County, Tennessee, Nancy was the daughter of the late Tom Bell Johnson and the late Nannie Florence Cuberson Johnson. She married Thomas on December 7, 1975. Nancy worked thirty years as a registered nurse before retiring. She enjoyed genealogy and antiques and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Dana J. (Kelly Ann) Coghlan, brothers, Stephen Cummins (Frances) Johnson, Shadden “SI” (Nancy) Johnson, sister, Doris Nell (William) Hossbach, and grandchildren, Anna, Olivia, and Ava.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom Baker Johnson, Presley David Tillery, and sister, Linda Faye Johnson.

Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Nancy’s memory to St. Catherine Catholic Church, 3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia, TN 38401.
