Orval Wells

October 7, 1938 - April 16, 2020

Mr. Orval Wells, age 81, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Thursday morning, April 16, 2020 at his residence.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born October 7, 1938, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Roy Wells and the late Annie Keener Wells. Orval married Barbara Graves on May 23, 1981. He worked for multiple companies in Lawrenceburg, including Salant & Salant, LaDel Manufacturing, and Jones Apparel. He enjoyed watching the news and loved all sports. He had a special place in his heart for rescue dogs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter; Crysta (Craig) Nilsson: sister in law: Nellie Wells: nieces; Sherry (Tommy) Luther, and Beverly (Charlie) Cook; special friends: Melinda Goolsby and Lindsay Powell, Victor Singh and family; and beloved dog: Rocky.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; Raymond Wells: sister; Prebble Guthrie, and brother in law R.L. Guthrie.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses who took care of Orval, as well as the staff at NHC Scott in Lawrenceburg.
