Patsy Lentz

Patsy “Pat Pat” Lentz, age 83, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at her residence.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10AM at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 16, 1935 in Perry County, Patsy was the daughter of the late Grady Whitwell and the late Bessie Holt Whitwell. She worked in environmental services at Maury Regional Medical Center for eleven years before retiring in 1997. Later in life, she enjoyed helping her daughter with her business. Patsy was an avid reader and UT fan. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her children: Greg (Tonya) Devore of Gallatin, Delana (Lou) Patterson of Lebanon, Lara (Bobby) Jacoby of Columbia; sister: Mildred Walker of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren: Tucker Devore, Gracie Devore, Savanna Jacoby, Sloan Jacoby; step grandchildren: Abby, Josie, and Brandon Claud; special friend: Grace Farris; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Sue Gilbert, Juanita Schwendimann, Marie Drake; and brothers: Pete and Kayo Whitwell.
