Patsy L. Owens

Patsy L. Owens, age 67, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Sherry Ladd officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

A native of Maury County, Patsy was born on October 26, 1954, and was the daughter of the late Alfred Slaughter and the late Ophelia Fitzgerald Slaughter. She married Charles Ray Owens on June 23, 1972; he preceded her in death on February 17, 2022. She loved being outdoors, watching her son play baseball and softball, sitting on the front porch with her daughter, and watching her son cut the grass. She enjoyed talking on the phone, watching numerous television shows and Disney, Pixar, and Lifetime movies. Every summer, she and her daughter, Christy, enjoyed visiting the Mennonites to get fresh vegetables. She loved to cook and go shopping, and above all, loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy Owens of Santa Fe, son, Timothy Owens of Santa Fe, sister, Dale Jones of Columbia, grandchildren, Michael Owens, Christina (Ricky) Littrell, Elizabeth Armstrong, Katlyn Armstrong, great grandchild, Amelia Elizabeth Littrell, nieces and nephews, Steve (Karen) Clark, Chris (Kristen) Clark, Brandon Ring, Misty (Jacob) Love, and best friend, Gail Sanders.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Clark.
