Paul Williams, Jr.

Mr. Paul Williams, Jr., age 77, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 2PM at Maury Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 6, 1942 in Nashville, Paul was the son of the late Paul Williams, Sr. and the late Tom Ella Napier Anderson. He attended church at an early age. He was a 1960 graduate of Clark High School in Mt. Pleasant and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later began working at Stauffer Chemical Company before going to school to become an LPN, class of 1975, and worked for Maury Regional Medical Center for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching sports.

He is survived by his sons: Terry Williams of Mt. Pleasant, Rodney Williams of Nashville, Scotty Williams of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Earlie Williams of Denver, CO; sister, Faye (Greg) Divine of Mt. Pleasant; brothers in law: Horace Hart and Bob Boatner both of Denver, CO; grandchildren: Madison Mullins, Quanna Williams, Halle Williams, Diamond Williams, Justin Williams, Sean Williams, LaRod Williams, Blair Williams; great granddaughter, Avayla Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Sylvennia Boatner and Mary Hart.

Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
