Peggie D Brent

Peggie D. Brent, age 85, wife of William “Bill” Brent, Sr., and a resident of Culleoka, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 16, 1938, in Maury County, Tennessee, Peggie was the daughter of the late Carl Woolridge Dillehay and the late Bonnie Louise Rieves Dillehay. She married Bill Brent, Sr. on September 21, 1978, and worked thirty-three years as an operator for Bellsouth. She enjoyed traveling all over the United States and other countries. She loved all animals, raising flowers, and was an avid University of Tennessee basketball and football fan.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Vicki Reed, granddaughter, Brittany (Zakk) Harris, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Louella Miller, Oscar Dillehay, Clint Dillehay, Laddye Dillehay, Edith Haney, Elizabeth Hargrove, and brother and sister in law, Eric & Ocye Hardin.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Lamor, Brent Todd, Derek Hardin, Sonny Hargrove, Dustin Hargrove, and Steve Hickman.
