Peggy Frydenlund

Margaret Louise “Peggy” Frydenlund, age 87, formerly of Fort Walton, Florida, and most recently a resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Morning Pointe of Columbia.

Peggy was born on October 6, 1937, in St. James, Minnesota, to the late Robert Ellis Whoerly and the late Bertha Gardner Whoerly. She graduated high school and went on to have a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse, dedicating her skills in hospitals and doctor’s offices throughout her life.

She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Walton, where she also shared her love of music by singing in the choir. Peggy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, and her hobbies included reading and staying connected with her community.

Peggy is survived by her two sons, Jon (Debbie) Frydenlund of Columbia and Paul Evan (Osiris) Frydenlund of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Jon Carter, Jene Wayne, and Bryan Frydenlund; and great-grandchildren, Adelynne and Koda Frydenlund.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Luce.
