Rachel “Sis” Elise Huckaby Patterson Farless, age 88, resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, November 17 at NHC/Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Farless will be conducted Tuesday, November 20 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Tyler Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 till service time at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later time in the Jones Cemetery.

Born April 6, 1930 in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Joe Marshall Huckaby and Eula Frances Ring Huckaby and wife of the late Valton Patterson and Willie Farless. A graduate of Central High school, Ms. Huckaby worked for G.E and Collins Sharpening Shop. She loved camping, gardening, UT football and traveling with her family. She was planning to go on a cruise with Martha, but she wasn’t able. She was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughters: Kathy (Michael) Langley of Columbia and Martha (John) Wagner of Spring Hill; brother: Joe M. (Irene) Huckaby of Columbia; sisters: Reba Jones and Juanita (Tony) Hie, both of Columbia; grandchildren: Benjamin W. (Diana) Chappell, Lindsay (Robbie) Richardson, Perri Lynn (Brett) McCord and Brittney (James) Wagner; great grandchildren: Hailey and Trevor Richardson, Sierra, Aiden and Gabriel Chappell and Levi McCord; many nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Langley, John Wagner, Benjamin Chappell, Robbie Richardson, Brett McCord, James Hughey, Jimmy Collins and members of New Lasea Church of Christ.
