Ralph M. Dodd

June 10, 1931 - July 27, 2023

Mr. Ralph M. Dodd, age 92, resident of Columbia, went to sleep in death on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Heritage Funeral Home.  A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00PM at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ralph was born on June 10, 1931 in Canada.  He had three siblings, Frank Dodd, Joan Edmondson and Jean Prosser.  In 1953, he married his wife, Vivian Dodd.  Together they had 71 beautiful years together.  In 1954, they had a loving daughter (Joni Holt).  In 1957, Ralph was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses.  In the 60’s, Ralph and his family moved to the United States.  In 1964, they had a son, Dale Dodd.  Shortly after, Ralph moved his family to Tennessee.  Ralph was faithful for 66 years.  He put Jehovah first and was a faithful servant up until the end.  He helped bring numerous families and people to learn about Jehovah.  Ralph served as a missionary in Africa and Argentina along with his wife, Vivian Dodd.

Ralph leaves behind his wife, Vivian Dodd, daughter, Joni Holt, two granddaughters, Amy O’Donnell and Shannon Wilson, and two grandsons, Nathan Holt and Logan Dodd.  He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Dale and grandson, Jared.
