Randy Starr

Mr. Randy Starr, age 65, husband of Roxann (Stewart) Starr, and resident of Spring Hill, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Tri Star Spring Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29 ^th at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Tracy Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born on October 10, 1953 in Bloomington, Illinois and was the son of the late Paul Starr and the late Emma Payne Starr. Randy and Roxann Stewart married March 24, 1973 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lexington, IL. He enjoyed cooking, tinkering with things, inventing and could fix anything that was broken. He was a member of Central Christian Church of Columbia. He was the type of person who would do anything for anyone. Above all, he loved his grandchildren Tre’, Cal and Zander and spending time with them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Laurie (Tom) Killian of Franklin; sisters Patsy (Keith) Theobald and Carol Jean (Floyd) Morefield, both of IL; grandchildren Tre’tn Killian, Calahan Killian, and Zander Killian.

Pallbearers will be Tom Killian, Tre’ Killian, Cal Killian, Dan Davies, Rick Konke and Bruce McShurley.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Central Christian Church of Columbia.
