Rebecca Ann Byers

Rebecca “Becky” Ann Byers, age 50, a resident of Hohenwald, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her residence.

Born on June 14, 1974, in St. Charles, Missouri, Becky was the daughter of Deborah Smith Cope and the late Michael Wayne Cope. She worked eight years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Hohenwald. She was an avid reader who enjoyed crafting and working in her shop and loved animals, especially her pot belly pig, Kevin and her dog, Tilley. An outgoing and bubbly personality, Becky loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She had a caring giving heart and a beautiful smile that will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Bud Byers, bonus children, Kristin (Wesley) Alberts of Alabama, Justin (Dayna) Byers of Eagleville, TN, brother, Michael Wayne Cope, Jr. of Columbia, TN, step mother, Linda Andersen, bonus grandchildren, Harper Alberts, Carson Alberts, aunts, Barbara Ochs, Drusilla Smith, uncle, William Smith, niece, Ashton (Dan) Woodling, and great niece, Ellie Woodling.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
