Spring Hill

Renzo Tarcisio Marin, age 81, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, peacefully at NHC Healthcare surrounded by his family. 

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Mondary officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Garden of Freedom in Maury Memorial Gardens located next to Heritage Funeral Home. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Friends and family are welcome to gather at Charlyne and Renzo's home immediately following service. 

 

Renzo was born in Padova, Italy on May 14, 1943, to the late Roberto and Maria Marin. He grew up in Tripoli, Libya and came to the United States January 1964. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He married the love of his life Charlyne Davenport Marin and together they celebrated almost sixty years of marriage. In his lifetime, Renzo was a soccer player, boxer, and a black belt in karate. He was an excellent electrician and retired as a supervisor from El Toro Water District in California. Renzo was a patriot that deeply loved the Lord, his country, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He attended Calvary Chapel of Columbia.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael and Frank, daughters-in-law Noelle and Nicole, grandchildren Nicholas, Alyssa, and Colton, brothers Carlo, Gianfranco, and Tarcisio “Gigi”. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leonardo, sisters Margaret and Carolina, and nephews Marco and Robert.
