Robert Eugene Orr of Antioch, Tennessee

January 30, 1952 - July 18, 2019

Mr. Robert Eugene Orr, age 67, a resident of Cane Ridge, passed away Thursday evening, July 18, 2019 at St. Thomas Highlands in Sparta, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Robert will be conducted Monday, July 22 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with John Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday from 12:00 to service time at Heritage Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Thomason, Hayden Burns, Logan Counts, Jeff Lovell, Billy Rochelle, Bryce Cates, Todd Conway and Brent Thomason. Honorary pallbearers will be Mayer Electric Associates and TDR Country Family.

Born January 30, 1952 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Wyndol and Mildred Hoover Orr and the husband of Timmey Gwin Bradford Orr. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School where he played in the band and received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Middle Tennessee State University. He was retired from Monsanto and General Electric and was working for Mayer Electric. Robert enjoyed golfing, photography, country line dancing and being with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Mars Hill Church of Christ and the Columbia Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter: Melissa Carol (fiancé Billy Dodson) Counts of Culleoka; stepdaughter: Christy D. (Mario) Amador of Nashville; son: Robert Scott (Michelle) Orr of Lynnville brother: Larry (Diana) Orr of Katy, TX; sister: Barbara Seibert of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Hayden Burns, Logan Counts, Alexis Orr, Colin Orr, Dillon (Alejandra) Ocana and Emmie Gwin Amador.
