Roderick Charles Ebernickel, Sr.

Roderick Charles Ebernickel, Sr., age 72, a resident of Culleoka, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Magnolia Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 11, 1952, in Trenton, Michigan, Roderick was the son of the late Charles Barnes Ebernickel and the late Mary June Larabell Ebernickel. A proud veteran, he served his country in the United States Navy. Roderick spent many years working as an automobile mechanic and later transitioned to a career in produce delivery.

He was an avid outdoorsman who had a deep love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and his iconic “purple truck.” He enjoyed watching old westerns, Blue Bloods, and NCIS: Miami. Known for his great sense of humor, Roderick loved to tell stories and share laughs with those around him. He found joy in listening to old music and sharing meals with his family at Farmer’s Family Restaurant. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, his siblings, and his beloved dog, Buster.

He is survived by his children, Delta Ambrose, Rita Gray, Johnny Ray Ebernickel, stepchildren, David Thacker, Christine Thacker, Aaron Thacker, Marvin Begley, Bryan Begley, Sandra Pratt, and grandchildren, Delta, Ciara, Daphaine, Aliyah, Davion, Ashton, Johnny Ray, McKenzie, Jason, Desirae, Alexie, Serianna, Kevin, and Malik.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Laura Marie Ebernickel, Roderick Charles Ebernickel, II, and siblings, Ernest, David, Darryl, and Dale Ebernickel, Patricia Ebernickel Abbate, Doris Rogers Shotwell, and Rosemary Rogers.
