Ronald Lynn Cozart, Sr.

Ronald “Ronnie” Lynn Cozart, Sr., age 60, a resident of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 24, 2018.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 5PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Wendell Allman officiating. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 4-5PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ronnie was born on February 22, 1958 in Marshall County and was the son of Ruby Smith Cummins and the late Ed Cozart. He worked as an in home caregiver.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: Ronald (Donna) Cozart, Jr. of Michigan, Crystal (Ivan) Valentin of Michigan, Timothy (Shirley) Cozart of Michigan, Amanda (Billy) Odom of Columbia, Joshua (Jennifer) Cozart of Columbia; brothers: Randy Cozart of Shelbyville, Ricky (Sharon) Cozart of Alabama; sister: Pat Winder of Culleoka; nineteen grandchildren; and the mothers of his children: Violet Allman of Columbia and Mitzi Morgan of Michigan.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his step father: James Cummins; granddaughter: Alicia Cozart; and brother: Kenneth Cozart.
