Roseann Holt

Roseann Marie (Brown) Holt, age 77, of Glendora, NJ, died on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Cook Family Cemetery in Summertown, TN. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Roseann was born on May 18, 1944, the daughter of Howard and Rosemary (Groves) Brown in Abington, PA. She graduated from Middletown Township High School in 1962.

Roseann was united in marriage with Donald Vernon Holt Jr. on November 17, 1962. In their younger years, they enjoyed adventures and riding motorcycles.

Roseann was a beautician in her earlier years, but her career was managing Henry’s Restaurant for 20+ years. In recent years, she worked at St. Ann’s Catholic Preschool. Roseann was a dedicated, hard-working woman.

Roseann adored her grandchildren and enjoyed road trips to visit her family. She also had a special place in her heart for her dog Gracie, that she loved very much. Rose crocheted (blankets for the grandkids) and was an avid reader.

Roseann loved her Lord and Savior and was looking forward to walking with Jesus. She has continued to grow closer to the Lord throughout her life.

Roseann was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2011; son, Donald Vernon Holt III in 1965; and siblings, Ronald J. Brown and Donna Lewis. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Paul) Cameron of Hohenwald, TN, April Bower of Colo, IA, and Bobbi Jo (James) Layton of Cape May Court House, NJ; grandchildren, Morgan, Jake, Jeremiah, Randy, Andrew, Phillip, Gabby, Jonas, Sam, Francis, Mary, Gemma and Mark; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Mathias and Levi; sister, Virginia Ann (James) Sweitzer of NJ.
