Roy E. Anderson

July 3, 1964 - January 19, 2020

Mr. Roy Edward Anderson, age 55, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Godwin Chapel Cemetery where he will take his final ride in the Harley Davidson Tombstone motorcycle hearse. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 3, 1964 in Maury County, Roy was the son of the late George Lynn Anderson and the late Wyona Leigh Riley Anderson. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. Roy enjoyed racing cars and was an avid Tennessee Titans fan. He especially loved the times he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons: Bryan (Jonnie Rose Long) Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, Nathan (Mia Olguin) Taylor of Columbia, Dustin (Ashlyn Cummins) Anderson of Columbia; brothers: Terry (Carolee) Anderson of Columbia, Doug (Robyn) Anderson of Columbia, Mark (Leigh) Anderson of Columbia; and grandchildren: Tanner Anderson, Bryan Anderson, Jr., Kameron Taylor, Isaiah Taylor, Haisley Anderson.

Pallbearers will be: Dustin Anderson, Bryan Anderson, Walter Anderson, Jason Anderson, Nathan Anderson, and Nathan Taylor.
