Roy Hickman

Mr. Timothy “Roy” Hickman, age 60, husband of Cindy Hickman, and a resident of Mooresville Pike in Culleoka, passed away Sunday morning, May 19, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 3PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, he will take his last ride in the Harley Davidson Tombstone motorcycle hearse to Lynnwood Cemetery where he will be buried. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 4, 1959 in Bristol, Tennessee, Roy was the son of the late James O. Hickman and the late Thelma Malone Hickman. He was a graduate of Culleoka High School and was of the Christian faith. He worked alongside his father farming and drove a dump truck. In his earlier years, he loved riding his Harley. Roy was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and especially loved the Tennessee Titans. He also enjoyed racing and was a Dale Earnhardt and Chase Elliott fan.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, of nineteen years, he is survived by his children: Michael (Heather) Potts of Culleoka, Casey (Angie) Potts of Culleoka; grandchildren: Alexis Murphy, Ely Potts, Abigail Potts, Aden Scott, Lindsey Potts, Easton Potts; aunt: Evelyn Morrow of Culleoka; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Ricky Howell of Williamsport, Kathy Howell Bell of Columbia, Mary (Danny) Rogers of Lewisburg, Sharon Howell Tomlin of Columbia, and Susan (Charles) Thigpin of Green Hills, AL.

Pallbearers will be: Johnny Richardson, Ronnie Kelley, Bobby Adams, Ronnie “Bobo” Scott, Wesley Roberts, Jason McCaleb, Larry Pierson, and David Craig.

The doctors, nurses, and staff at the Maury Regional Cancer Center will serve as honorary pallbearers.
