Roy York

January 30, 1955 - January 20, 2022

Roy Farris York, age 66, resident of Spring Hill, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29 ^th at 11:00 AM at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home in Bethel, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Tate Township Cemetery in Bethel, Ohio.  The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service hour.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Roy was born in Richmond, Kentucky on January 30, 1955 and was the son of the late James Harold York and the late Letty Mellot York.  He worked as a forklift operator and retired from General Motors.  He was an avid sports fan enjoying watching the Cincinnati Bengals, the Bearcats Basketball, and loved Ohio State football.  He also enjoyed dancing and golfing .  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Todd (Julie) York of Alabama; brother, Johnny (Ginny) York of Ohio; lifelong partner, Debra Phillips of Spring Hill, TN; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Wallace York; son, Jason Scott York; brother, James Kenneth York; and sister, Mary Stapleton.
