Mrs. Ruby Jewel Walker, age 66, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday morning, October 24, 2021, at her residence.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 3:00 PM at The Pentecostals of Columbia Church with Bro. Jerry Richardson and Brandon Skelton officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on April 29, 1955, in Giles County, Jewel was the daughter of the late James “Bud” Malone and the late Mabel Lenox McNeese Malone. She worked many years as a certified nurse assistant for numerous nursing homes in Columbia. Her favorite flower was buttercups; she loved the colors purple and blue, the scent of White Musk perfume, and she never turned down a Sundrop. She had a great sense of humor, and above all, she loved her family unconditionally. Jewel was a member of The Pentecostals of Columbia.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Phil Walker of Mt. Pleasant, son, James Phillip (Shree) Walker of Lynnville, daughters, Mary Elizabeth Walker of Mt. Pleasant, Trina Davidson (Dave Manard) of Massachusetts, brothers, James (Betty) Malone of Pulaski, sisters, Hattie Mae McConnell of Pulaski, Gaye Hunt of Pulaski, Bonnie (Jimmy) Foster of Pulaski, sister in law, Chris Malone of Pulaski, grandchildren, Eric, Samantha, Tyler, and Lance Davidson, Mattie Walker, Zelvin Clark, Zoey and Lauren Walker, and many “adopted” grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Malone.
