September 1, 1926 - April 19, 2019

Sarah Margaret Jenkins Hensley Wright Clark, age 92, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 with her family by her side after having a wonderful morning of Easter egg hunting at NHC Columbia, where she was a resident.

A graveside service will be held at Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margaret loved to travel. She visited all 50 states and also spent time abroad. She had a passion for arts and crafts and spent years donating her talents to the different charity events hosted by the Women’s Methodist Group at her church. She was an avid sports fan. She and her favorite great-grandson, Knox Kinser, shared a love for Titans football that was unrivaled.

She is survived by her son: Lester Ray Hensley; sister: Edith Wade; grandchildren, Sandra Hensley, Cindy (Anthony) Sims, Daniel (Bethany) Hensley, and 9 great grandchildren: Tiffany, Kasi, Tommy, Logan, Sara, Katie Sims, Lauryn & Knox Kinser, Raylee Hensley; several nieces and nephews and one very special niece, Cheryl Wade who came and doted on her regularly.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by three wonderful husbands, Lester Hensley, Grady Wright and John B. Clark; her brother, Kenneth Jenkins; granddaughter, Susan Embler Kinser; great-grandson, Kye Embler; daughter-in-law, Patsy Hensley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Center of Hope, PO Box 1961, Columbia, TN 38402 where her granddaughter works.
