Scott G. Brogan, age 54, passed away at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Care in Fredon, N.J. on May 12, 2022 after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. He was the son of Donald G. Brogan and the late Nadine Brogan of Columbia, TN and the late Shirley Brown Puckett of Louisville, KY.  There will be a Celebration of Life on June 16, 2022 at 11:30 am at First Family Baptist Church with visitation starting at 10:30 am.  An inurnment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.  Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born on May 23, 1967 in Louisville, Ky where he lived and attended school until his family moved to Carmel, IN. Scott graduated from Carmel High School, where he played the French horn in the marching band and was the drum major.  He graduated from the University of Indiana in Bloomington, IN. While at college he became active in the Flag and Rifle Marching Corp. He has lived in New Jersey for the past 32 years with his life partner, Jon Kelsch.

After college, Scott spent a year in Germany learning the wood and veneer manufacturing business with the Karl Danzer Company, where he became fluent in German. He returned to the states and worked for David R. Webb Company in Marketing and Sales in N.J.  Eventually, he started his own veneer marketing company, BroganWoodProducts and Intermezzo.

His interest was his dogs, playing the French Horn, flower gardening, cooking and Mercedes-Benz cars.  He loved his friends and family.

Scott is survived by his dad, Donald G. Brogan of Columbia, his life partner, Jon Kelsch of Andover, N.J., step-sister, Patsy (Laccie) Mosley-Anderson of Columbia, a niece, Kindal Jackson Pruitt (Brandon) of Madison, AL, a nephew, Dave S. Jackson (Beverly) of Valdosta, GA., three great- nephews and his dogs, Lucy, Fergus and Saffie.
