Sheila Kay Mealer, age 63, resident of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
Sheila was born May 8, 1961, in Williamson County, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late A.C. Emler and the late Rosa Lee Wagner. She enjoyed shopping and especially cherished the time spent with her grandkids. She was a God-fearing woman who read her Bible daily and attended Ponds Church of Christ in Leipers Fork. She adored her dog, Suzie. Sheila, also known as "Gangster Mom," will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Eddie Dean Mealer of Franklin; sons, Stacey Mealer of Franklin and Joseph Dean (Kayla) Mealer of Cornersville; daughter, Sherrie Mealer (Donnie Miller) of Lavergne; brother, Lonnie (Melanie) Emler; grandchildren, Adaneke Palmer, Onesha Prier, Jacob Vongunten, Jason Vongunten, Kaylee Rector, Diamond Miller, Jedonis Miller, and Jaxson Miller; and great-grandchildren, Selah Prier and Emelia Prier.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Emler.
Sheila will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11am.
