Shayla Shaver

Shayla Denae Shaver, age 25, resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 25th, at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, followed by burial in Carlisle Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday, August 23rd, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shayla was born on August 12, 1999, in Maury County, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late Greg Shaver and Beverly Eatherly. Shayla never met a stranger and loved life. She enjoyed being around people and was a fearless individual with a heart of gold. One of her hobbies was drawing, and she was very artistic. Most of all, she loved her boys dearly and was dearly loved.  She was always ready to lend a hand to any and all.

She is survived by her mother, Beverly Eatherly of Santa Fe; sons, Julian Karsin and Axel Karsin; grandparents, David Eatherly (Linda Potts) of Santa Fe, Robert & Aslee Shaver; sisters, Mikhayla Eatherly and her daughter, Sylvia Rose; half-sister, Amanda Dickens; great uncle, Mike (Connie) Eatherly, uncles, Darryl (Amanda) Eatherly and Jeff (Candy) Shaver; aunts, Autumn Potts and Michelle Humphrey; and numerous cousins.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Emma “Hattie Mae” Hood Eatherly and great aunt, Terri Diane “Aunt Dan” Hood, and cousin, Terry Hood.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
