Sheila Diane Mccandless

Sheila Diane McCandless, age 70, wife of Carnell McCandless, and a resident of Lynnville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Meadowbrook Healthcare and Rehab.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. David Buffalo officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 4:00 – 8 :00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 23, 1954, in Hickman County, Tennessee, Sheila was the daughter of the late Clarence Paul Harrington and the late Thelma Lucille Wilson Harrington. She married Carnell McCandless on April 15, 1972. She dedicated many years of her career working in factories. She enjoyed cooking and her favorite hobby was working puzzles. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Tim McCandless of Columbia, Phillip McCandless of Lynnville, Kevin McCandless of Pulaski, brothers, Richard Harrington of Culleoka, Billy Harrington of Columbia, sisters, Debbie Smithson of Columbia, Sharon Harrington of Columbia, grandchildren, Kaitlyn McCandless, Brantley McCandless, Samantha Jo (Phil) Veale, Tori McCandless, and Christopher Rowland, great granddaughter, Addalyn Henry, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Harrington, and brothers and sisters in law, Roger Smithson, William Dale, Margie Faye Estes, Lanny McCandless, Harry McCandless, Roy McCandless, James McCandless, and Jerry McCandless.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Brent McCandless, Cayden McCandless, Jackson McCandless, Jonathan Ashworth, Robert Ashworth, and Michael Hedrick. Tracy Smith will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
