Sherry Diane Sowell, age 61, of Santa Fe, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 9:36 AM, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Knob Creek Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12:00 - 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sherry was born on November 24, 1962, in Maury County, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late Clay Coleman and the late Mary Fraser Coleman. She worked ten years in sales for Action Homes before transitioning to cleaning homes. Sherry had a passion for working in the yard and tending to her flowers, and she had a talent for painting interior walls. Many will remember her as the "Santa Fe Diner Therapist," and one who was always ready with advice on her front porch. Outspoken and one of a kind, Sherry took pride in her appearance, ensuring her purses and shoes always matched. She had a deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished her beloved fur babies, Kallie, Lucy, and Sarah Bella.
She is survived by her long-time companion, Kevin Springer of Santa Fe; children, Holly Adams of Columbia, Cody Sowell of Columbia, Aimee (Scott) Baldwin of Columbia, Amanda Blair (Craig) Bechet of Columbia, and Aaren Nicole (T.D.) Blue of Columbia; sister, Gail Bishop of Columbia; grandchildren, Karma Stewart, Madison Marshall, Carter Bechet, Scarlett Sowell-Hudson, Bonni Hudson, Christian Baldwin, and Savannah Baldwin; nephews, Billy (John Hamilton) Robinson, Jeff (Renee) Bishop, Robby (Tommie) Robinson, Joey (Lori) Bishop, and Chris Bishop; and her best friends, Tina McGee, Cheryl Connelly, Charity Amos, and Cory Chapman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Bishop, niece, Stephanie Wooten, her nephew, Marty Bishop.
Those proudly serving as pallbearers will be Cory Chapman, Chris Bishop, Craig Bechet, T.D. Blue, Josh McGee, and Colton Shouse.
Sherry's vibrant spirit and unique personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. There will never be another like her.
