Mr. Stanley Blaine Lowery, age 61, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Kerry James officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 7, 1958 in Columbia, Stanley was the son of Nannie Jo Moore Lowery and the late Clarence Lowery. He was a 1976 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Columbia State Community College. In high school and college, he loved playing baseball, and in more recent years, enjoyed playing softball. Stanley worked in construction for Doug Kelley, Robert Langley, and most recently, Mike Ayers. He also mowed lawns and did yard work. He had a great sense of humor, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: Quinton (Kelly English) Polk of Columbia, Jamarcus Franklin of Columbia, Detristian Lowery of Gallatin, Quadaisha Lowery of Mt. Pleasant; brother: Charles (Darlene) Lowery of Mt. Pleasant; sister: Felicia Lowery of Columbia; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Dorothy Martin and Johnnie Mae Lowery; and brothers: Clarence Wayne Lowery and Billy Joe Lowery.
Honorary pallbearers will include the Columbia Central High School Class of 1976.
