Stephanie Ritch, age 54, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Friday, January 22nd, 2021, at NHC Columbia.
She was born to the late Wesley and Marion Henney at Lansing General Hospital in Michigan on August 30th, 1966.
She is survived by her husband Robert Ritch, her stepson Dylan Ritch, Sister Andrea Dollins (spouse Thomas), and nephew Alec Dollins.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on January 7th, 1984, at Holt Assembly Hall in Holt, Michigan. She began ministering full-time in 1985 and cherished this privilege for almost ten years. She pioneered in Grand Ledge, Michigan, and Columbia, Tennessee.
Stephanie was a talented piano player and enjoyed playing for congregation meetings while growing up in Michigan. Family and friends described her as a loving caregiver who put others' welfare before her own. She was not just a caretaker of people but animals as well. As a child and well into adulthood, she would feed many strays, including rabbits, raccoons, and deer.
She possessed the ability to turn any house into a home. A model homemaker, she spent much of her time in the kitchen, cooking each delectable meal from scratch.
Family was a matter of great importance to her. She valued and remembered family history and made a point to contact relatives and friends no matter the distance.
On December 29th, 2006, Stephanie married Robert Ritch, and the two spent 14 loving years together. She also became a supportive and loving stepmother to Dylan Ritch.
Stephanie's love and immeasurable kindness, passed onto her by her parents, grew and spread to all those lucky enough to meet her. That love survives her now in the memories and actions of both friends and family.
A memorial service, via zoom, will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 3 pm. To attend email [email protected] and you will be emailed an invitation with login information.
