Stephen Patrick Ferguson of New Prospect, Tennessee

January 1, 1971 - November 28, 2022

Stephen Patrick Ferguson, age 51, a resident of St. Joseph, Tennessee, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

He was employed with Hammond Tree Service in Loretto, Tennessee and enjoyed doing tree work with his brother, Timothy Hammond. His hobbies were fishing and spending time with his family and making memories. He especially loved the time he spent over the years with his uncles, Jimmy Barnett and Charles Spires and family. He was loved by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Creston Hammond, paternal grandfather, Clyde Hamond, paternal grandmother, Mozell Hammond, maternal grandfather, James Barnett, maternal step grandfather, Charlie Spires.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Wisdom, daughter, Kayla Simbeck, sister, Tika (Edmond) Crowden, brother, Timothy Hammond, sister, Kimberly Hammond, maternal grandmother, Louise Spires, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Vanderbilt University Medical Trauma Center.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Church of Christ in St. Joseph, TN on Sunday December 11, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.  Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
