Susan "Sue" Marie Swanson

Mrs. Susan “Sue” Marie Swanson, age 70, wife of John Swanson, and a resident of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away Friday evening, January 20, 2023, at Tri Star Spring Hill.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 4:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 3:00 – 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on September 5, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, Sue was the daughter of the late Hugh Casler and the late Irene Baker Casler. She married John Swanson on January 14, 1977, and together they raised one son, Bryan. In the earlier part of her career, she worked as a beautician in Michigan for several years. Most recently, she worked as a stained-glass artist for thirty-five years. She had a green thumb and could plant and grow anything. Sue enjoyed making jewelry and had a very special love for dogs. She loved to travel, especially on cruises or to the beach, and she and her husband visited forty-eight of the fifty states. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, John Swanson of Spring Hill, Tennessee, son, Bryan (Christine) Swanson of Williamsport, Tennessee, sisters, Lynda Marshall of Michigan, Mary Casler of Michigan, and grandchildren, Brittany Swanson and Dylan Swanson.
