Suzann W. Cordell, age 71, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2018 at 11AM at New Life Church with Pastor Darryl Martin officiating. You are welcome to stay after the service to enjoy some light refreshments with the family. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 12, 1947 in Lexington, TN, Suzann was the daughter of the late Albert F. Warner and the late Elizabeth Sheila Warner Ross. She previously worked as the corporate executive of Maremont Corporation in Nashville. She was the owner of Potts BBQ (Focus Incorporated) in Columbia beginning in 1994 and was later the owner of Big Al’s Donut Factory in Columbia beginning in 2002. Suzann enjoyed writing and in 2013 wrote the book Riggins Row. She enjoyed dancing, going to yard sales, and playing cards and had a special love for her miniature Yorkie: Gator. Suzann was a member of New Life Church in Columbia.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son: Douglas Cordell of Columbia; daughter: Allison Spader (fiancé: Shane Keister) of Columbia; sister: Deborah Warner of Columbia; best friend: Norma Woods of La Grange, KY, grandchildren: Nathan (Tori) Cordell, Dylan Cordell (Alexa Chapman), Alex (Omar) Spader, Zachary (Rebecca) Rodriguez; great grandchild: Izayah Rodriguez; sister in law: Janet Attaway; nephews: Chris Warner, Nathan Attaway; and niece: Ashlee Attaway.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Albert “Jack” Cordell; brother: David Attaway; and nephew: Ryan Warner.
